This vintage paper was made by pasting together many small pieces of leftover paper. This one considered made as a core for a sliding door.
It was dyed with persimmon tannin and reinforced in old times. The persimmon protects the paper from insects and humidity.
The paper is hard and crisp because it has been layered with two or three papers.
