This textile was made of 3-length hand-woven ramie Kasuri ikat.

 

The term "kasuri" can refer to both the technique and the finished textile. Kasuri involves resist dyeing, where parts of the yarn are tightly bound before dyeing to create a pattern. The bound areas resist the dye, creating the characteristic blurred or mottled design.

 

This one has Boro repaired by Sashiko stitching with another indigo fabric.
