Koinobori (鯉のぼり) are Japanese carp-shaped windsocks traditionally flown to celebrate Kodomo no Hi (Children’s Day) on May 5th.
Families display them to wish for their children’s health, happiness, and prosperity.
Today it is made of cloth, but about 100 years ago it was usually made of paper. This one is also old and has some torn holes in places.
Please note that it will be folded for shipping.
