This is 100year old indigo-dyed Furoshiki textile. This furoshiki has the family crest dyed through and is described as having been used in a kimono shop.

Furoshiki is a traditional Japanese wrapping cloth that is used to wrap and transport objects.

Furoshiki can be used to wrap almost anything, from gifts and food items to clothing and books. The technique of wrapping the cloth varies depending on the size and shape of the object being wrapped, but it generally involves folding and knotting the fabric in a particular way.

The four corners are reinforced with beautiful Sashiko embroidery as they are stressed when tied up.
