Furoshiki is a traditional Japanese wrapping cloth that is used for carrying and wrapping various items.
 
The word "furoshiki" can be broken down into "furo" (bath) and "shiki" (to spread), indicating its historical use in wrapping and carrying clothes to and from public baths in Japan.  However, its versatility has made it a popular choice for wrapping gifts, carrying groceries, and creating stylish bags.
 
This one was used in a Tokyo store selling glass pens.
Some holes were also carefully repaired by hand sewing.
